David M Colby began his career with Northwestern Mutual as a Financial Representative Intern in January of 2018. Learning about the industry and how to work with clients as he completed college, David earned the coveted Intern of the Year Award in 2019.
In December of 2019, David finished his college education, graduating from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point School of Business and Economics with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration, majoring in both Finance and Business Management, and minoring in Economics.
At the beginning of 2020, David transitioned into the full-time Financial Advisor role. Since then, he has focused his time offering financial planning for young families, individuals nearing retirement, business owners, and mid-level medical providers.
David is licensed to practice with clients located in AL, AZ, IA, IL, MI, MN, NE, NY, OH, UT, VA, WA, and his home state of Wisconsin. As his national practice grows, David anticipates working with clients all throughout the country and is open to consultations with clients located anywhere in the US.

Personal
David M Colby was born and raised in Stevens Point. Outside of work, David enjoys to spend time with family and friends, notably with his significant other Becky and Great Pyrenees, Livy. David also spends time staying active outdoors, playing tennis or golf, and practicing any of his three guitars. To give back to his community, David serves on the Board of Directors for Financial Wellness of Portage County.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF)
ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual, its employees, and financial professionals like me have donated more than $20 million to support ALSF and fund over 400,000 research hours.

Beads of Courage
Beads of Courage is an art-in-medicine program that helps kids with cancer tell their unique treatment story through colorful beads that are symbols of their courage.
