Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children under the age of 15. ALSF funds cancer research, raises awareness, and supports the families of children with cancer. Since 2012, Northwestern Mutual has donated more than $20 million to support ALSF. Locally, the Norwalk offices is proud to donate money that will go toward changing the lives of children with cancer.
Companions in Courage
The Companions in Courage Foundation was founded by NHL Hall of Famer, Pat LaFontaine as a way to connect hospitalized children with their family, friends and heroes. The CIC charity builds interactive playrooms in hospitals and delivers mobile XBox 360 kiosks to patients' bedsides throughout North America. Our mission is quite simple. No child in the fight for life or health should ever have to go through it alone.
