SMS Text Messaging Terms & Conditions

1. Scope

Northwestern Mutual and our Field Sales Force may send SMS text messages to you for purposes of marketing, recruiting for our salesforce and workforce, authentication, providing you with information about products and services, and connecting you with an advisor.

Our Texting Program includes both service-related text messages, like account alerts and updates, and marketing text messages, such as outreach from a representative or their team about products or services. All text messages from Northwestern Mutual will be sent straight to your mobile device.

Do not send trade orders or any sensitive personal information, such as your driver's license number, social security number, medical information, user ID or password, via text message. Trade orders received by text message will not be accepted. Northwestern Mutual may and will retain, monitor and/or supervise your messages when required by law or regulation.

2. Message Frequency

Text message frequency under the Texting Program will vary by recipient, and Northwestern Mutual may alter the frequency of text messages sent at any time.

Northwestern Mutual does not guarantee the timing or actual receipt of any text messages, as this may be affected by factors outside of our control.

3. Opt-Outs

You may opt out of receiving marketing messages at any time by replying STOP to a text message received from us.

After doing so, you may receive a single text message from Northwestern Mutual confirming that you have been unsubscribed from marketing text messages. Following that confirmation message, no additional marketing text messages will be sent to you unless you change your mind and request to be contacted by Northwestern Mutual and our Salesforce by text messaging.

4. Need Assistance

If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program you can reply with the keyword HELP for more assistance.

5. Cost

While we do not charge for any text messages sent to or from you as part of the Texting Program, standard message and data rates may apply.

6. Participating Carriers

Messaging may not be available through all mobile carriers. Participating mobile carriers include, but are not limited to: AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Verizon Wireless, and Virgin Mobile. Additional carriers may be added at any time.

Messages are subject to any terms and conditions imposed by your mobile carrier. Mobile carriers are not liable for undelivered or delayed messages, or for the content of any messages.

7. Privacy

We may collect information about you from text messages you send. For more information about our privacy practices, please review our Privacy Notices.

We will not share your phone number or information received by text messages with third parties for their marketing purposes.
