Disclosure of Order Execution and Routing Practices
U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) rules require firms to publish, on a public website, specific data related to order execution (Rule 605) and order routing (Rule 606) practices.
SEC Rule 605
In accordance with SEC Rule 605, Northwestern Mutual Investment Services publishes monthly summary statistics regarding order execution quality in National Market System securities. The order execution disclosure is available within thirty days after month end.
SEC Rule 606
In accordance with SEC Rule 606, Northwestern Mutual Investment Services compiles and publishes a quarterly report regarding its routing of non-directed customer orders in National Market System securities and listed options. Data for orders cleared through Pershing, LLC can be found by going to order routing disclosure and entering Northwestern Mutual as the name of the Broker-Dealer.
